About the Role

Position Overview

The Manager, Technical Services at K2S will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical services team, ensuring successful delivery of technical solutions that align with client needs and project goals. This role combines the responsibilities of a Technical Architect with the leadership and managerial duties of a Business Systems Manager. The Manager, Technical Services, will act as the technical counterpart to the Business Systems Manager, leading the technical side of professional services and collaborating closely with other departments to achieve optimal project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties:

  • Design and architect robust technical solutions for client implementations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring adherence to best practices and alignment with client requirements.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand client needs and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Develop detailed technical documentation, including solution architecture, integration designs, and technical specifications.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of project delivery, including code reviews, technical troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the technical services team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the K2S technical portfolio.

Managerial Duties:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the technical services team, including resource allocation, performance management, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Business Systems Manager to ensure seamless coordination between business and technical teams.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure technical deliverables are met within scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction with technical solutions.
  • Develop and implement processes and best practices for technical project delivery, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of K2S’s technical service offerings, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical architecture, system design, or software engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions in a client-facing environment.
  • Strong understanding of WMS, ERP, or other relevant supply chain systems.
  • Good understanding of MOCA, Blue Yonde WMS database tables and relationships, Integrator and Jasper Reports
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based with occasional travel to client sites as required.
  • Full-time position with standard working hours, with flexibility for project demands.

Reporting Structure

The Manager, Technical Services will report to the Director of Professional Services.
