What is a Challenge Coin?

• A coin or a medallion bearing an organization's insignia or emblem
• Historically, challenge coins were presented by unit commanders in recognition of special achievements by a member of the unit
• The act of challenging is called a "coin check" and is usually loudly announced and carried out by members of an organization
• Besides using coins for challenges, they are also used as rewards for outstanding service or performance of duty

Introducing the K2S Challenge Coin! In recognition of the 1st service anniversary, K2S team members are (retroactively) awarded this memento as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
